Favourite Drugstore Foundations!

Hey everyone! So I thought i'd do a 'favourite drugstore foundations' review as my first post! I've tried countless foundations from the drugstore which have been a complete waste and made me think twice about spontaneously picking up a foundation, there are a few however that have worked well with my skin. These are all my honest opinions and I definitely recommend them to anyone that are starting out in makeup or are on a budget :)
Shade references:
MAC- NC35
NARS- STROMBOLI
MUFE: 123
DIOR: 031

 1. Loreal True Match Foundation - W4 Golden Natural £9.99

This foundation has been raved about and has certainly gotten a lot of attention across the youtube and blogging community! This foundation is my sister's holy grail drugstore foundation but personally I would say I have a love/hate relationship with this one and is my least favourite out of all. Although it blends amazingly and leaves a flawless almost 'airbrush' finish AND perfectly suits my yellow undertone skin, after wearing this foundation it tends to separate around my nose after a couple of hours. For me its just one of those foundations I can't wait to take off my face.

Pros:
Colour range is amazing! Caters to both light to dark complexions and undertones
 Great coverage
Has a pump!
Easy to blend

Cons:
Feels slightly greasy on the skin and transfers
Packaging can get really messy as liquid is a runny consistency
Not the best staying power
Rating 6/10

2.  L'Oreal Nude Magique Foundation - 140   £9.99

"A new sensation with a lighter than water formula for non greasy zero make up feel.
A new application with perfume-like bottle: shake, pour a drop on finger tip and apply.
A new finish: perfect looking nude finish for even, smoother, healthier looking complexion and enhanced skin texture."
I have to say this foundation claims to do exactly what it says, it actually surprised me at how natural this looked and felt. It left me with an even base perfect for daily wear. This foundation is best suitable for combination to oily skin as it has a matte finish which can be slightly drying. I find myself reaching for this one more than the others. However it has a slight pinky undertone which I'm not too fond of but once blended in it looks fine. If you love lightweight foundations then definitely check this one out!

Pros:
Lightweight, doesn't feel greasy
   Packaging, not too bulky/heavy
Contains SPF - Great for the summer!

 Cons:
Colour range - Doesn't offer a wide range of colours or undertones
No pump
Rating: 8/10

3,  Revlon Colorstay Foundation - Combo/Oily skin  350 Rich Tan £12.49

This foundation was actually my first ever foundation and at the time I was blown away by the coverage. I think that it is an exact dupe for MAC Studio Fix Foundation for its consistency, smell, coverage etc. My sister also has this foundation but the one for dry skin and in a different colour. She doesn't like this foundation as she couldn't find her right colour or undertone & it left her with the 'muddy' look. So beware this foundation doesn't work for everyone, make sure to try it out in the shops and choose the right colour for your skin! This foundation offers a medium to full coverage and seriously does not budge! The lasting power is amazingg.

Pros:
Full coverage - covers acne, scarring, imperfections etc.
Lasts all day!
Doesn't feel greasy

Cons:
No pump, application can get messy
Doesn't suit all undertones
Quite thick, hard to work with

Rating: 6/10

4.   Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum - 53 £10.99

Ok I have to start by saying I love this foundation! Its so lightweight, blends in easily, looks so fresh & glowy on the skin whilst covering imperfections. This foundation has a dewy finish which I just adore underneath a mattifying primer and a loose powder. Although I can't use this foundation on its own as it just doesn't match my neck completely (bit too light) , I mix some of it in with my holy grail MUFE HD Foundation (123) and it looks like my skin but better.

Pros:
Applies like a dream - creamy, smooth and blendable.
Suitable for yellow undertones
Comparable to some higher end foundations (Chanel)
Contains a pump

Cons:
Can look cakey if applied heavily
Doesn't offer enough shades
Has slight shimmer particles

Rating: 8/10
